MARVEL COMICS APP

Marvel Comics has introduced an free app for the iPad, produced with Comixology (who produced a popular iPhone app). Based on their press release more than 500 titles will be available through the application at time of launch. All the Marvel classics are here:
Avengers,
X-Men,
Hulk,
Spider Man,
IronMan,
Captain America, and a number of newer titles.
The app allows the user to finger-flip through, page by page; scrollable bar of thumbs for all pages at the bottom of the page view, so you can skip ahead easily; double-click to zoom into an individual frame and finger-flip forward to advance frame by frame instead of page by page.

Apple – iPad

San Francisco, California – At 1:10PM today the official word came from Steve Jobs, Apple CEO, as he unveiled the brand new highly anticipated iPad that he called “a truly magical and revolutionary product.”
It has a nearly 10-inch screen, runs existing apps from the Apple apps store and is available in 16-gigabyte, 32-gigabyte and 64-gigabyte versions, according to Jobs. The device will have a 1 GHz processor and pricing will start at $499 for the 16-gigabyte version, $599 for the 32-gig version and $699 for the 64, Jobs said. 3G mobile access will cost an extra $130 on each, he said. They are scheduled to begin shipping in 60 days. In addition to the obvious functions the tablet delivers Apple its road into the e-reader market by displaying books and newspaper and magazine articles on its color screen. That`s it Kindle!
