New Era also jumped on the bicycle-culture train and released the Bike Caps previously and now they have come up with another version, the Messenger Cap series. The concept behind the design is based on classic cycling caps, but updated the design for the current cycling culture. The biggest attribute of this cap is the soft cotton fabric that is similar to standard t-shirts that makes this easier to carry. A single draw string is located on the rear of the cap with adjusters for the perfect fit.

The collection consists of four pieces: the Pound 4 Pound Hoodie, True Knowledge T-Shirt, N98 Track Jacket, and the Be True Stadium Jacket. Each garment combines Orangemen styling with Futura’s signature style.

HVW8 Art & Design Gallery, Union LA and Frolab present the Mos Def: Ecstatic Moments Exhibition.
“Photographer, filmmaker, visionist Cognito showcases rare performance and behind-the-scenes images captured during the two year journey of making and supporting the June 2009 release of “The Ecstatic” (Downtown Records.) This special one-week exhibition features candid photographs of Mos Def, including images from visits to the Cape of Great Hope,South Africa, performing in Sao Paulo, Brazil, and a powerful series of US Summer Tour “end-of-the-night posse shots” featuring such artists as Jay Electronica, Talib Kweli, Erykah Badu, and even a surprise guest appearance by the legendary Shuggie Otis. Cognito has also immortalized Mos Def in bright moments from “The Ecstatic” studio sessions with producers Madlib, OH NO,Preservation & Georgia Anne Muldrow. The photographs in this exhibit, soon to be published in book format, are offered by Mos Def to his family, friends and fans in order to share the many “ecstatic moments” he experiences while creating, recording, traveling and performing around the world.”
The exhibition started on January 30th and ends on February 6th. Mos Def also teamed up with Union LA on a special commemorative t-shirt. The tee was released in store and is also available in their online store.
